MEAT US

Supplying the Very Best

Meet John and the Family, Rhona his wife and his three children Hazel, Rachael and Archie. You can trace Johns farming heritage back six generations including Archie his son who is following in his father’s footsteps. In fact, it was Archies idea to start the company in 2019. Archie is proactively looking to help secure a sustainable carbon free way of farming for the next generation of farmers.

John is a former Chairman and committee member of the Local NFU (National Farmers Union) and currently has a title of ‘Environmental & land use Monitor’. John is very active in the local farming community and feels very strong about Scottish farming. For John it is not a job it is a way of life.

We use the Scottish Blackface which is indigenous to Scotland. This is a hardy breed that has thrived naturally across The Whole of Scotland including ‘The Arrochar Alps’ in the heart of Loch Lomond National Park where our sheep graze giving them access to natural mountain Bilberries and Heather all year round, even when they brought down to the lowlands in winter. This ensures our lamb are reared solely on natural feed. It is widely known locally that this diet gives the meat a sweeter taste and renders it more succulent.

Our Lamb is available all year round which means our Loch Lomond National Park Spring lamb is ready for your Easter roast. Spring Born Mountain Lamb will be available between August – November. This is our seasonal premium line and will be limited, so do not be disappointed pre order yours! (Click here to order)

Our Ethos is simple “From the Mountain to your doorstep” you will not get this anywhere else!
